Is it fragrant? It looks like a philadelphus (mock orange) that I have, which unfortunately turned out not be fragrant.

The leaves and flowers look right for a double Philadelphus.

the slight pink markings suggest it is duetzia. I have this and it is lovely.

Sorry, I should have looked closer at the pictures of Deutzia! At first glance the foliage looked alternate, while it's actually opposite, like a Philadelphus.

thanks for all of your answers, in answer to the questions, no not really fragrant as such, but must have something about it because the bees love it :) and yes it is really pretty, the leaves are tinged with pink and the tiny flowers remind me of tiny fairy ballerina dresses... and... it looks good in winter, as well, the stems turn a nice rusty reddy brown, so its pleeasing to see when the gardens starting to look tired.

How do I say thanks?
