I have two skyscrapper sunflowers growing...and last week my leafs on the taller one were what appears to be..cut off... but the seed pod was still in tact. Now the seed pod is gone and appears to have been cut. Is there some sort of disease or an animal that would do this...?? I Just have a bare stalk now with branches with no leafs.

Here is Australia cockatoos love getting the flowerheads off sunflowers so they can get the seeds... not sure about the leaves though!
