camellia
camellia
Asked on 20 Jul, 2008
After about three attempts I grew a Camellia to flowering stage. Since then it has flourished against a West facing fence. My only concern is that although it flowers prolificly it sheds a large number of buds and flowers while still in the open stage. Is this normal or is there some way to stop this.

Camellias do drop their flowers when you think they still look great, mine certainly does - very annoying!. I am a bit surprised that it loses buds, though. Are you feeding it? Are the leaves deep green and healthy?
