I need to cut back a honeysuckle and clematis from my daughter 2 pergolas from her new house they need to be cut right back so we can replace the pergolas would it be ok to do that now without killing the plants off

With the clematis it depends what it is as there are three groups that are pruned at different times. Can you unwind the honeysuckle and lay it flat out of the way? It would be better to leave it until the autumn if you have to cut it. .
