My Hanging basket strawberrys are coming along lovely,i been away for a week and i now have some long shoots coming out, do i cut them off?

The long shoots will almost certainly be "runners" (stolons) which are just modified stems the plant sends out with baby plants at the tip. It's not too critical if you leave them on but I would remove them unless you want to propagate them. It looks tidier too!
