my lawn has a spreading small mushroom light brown and dome shaped how can i kill it i have heard dry bicarb powder may work many thanks

Not much point in trying to kill the mushroom - it's only the fruiting body of an underground mycellium system. Nip it off at the base with a plastic bag over your hand to reduce any possible spore spread. You may get one or two more, but they won't be very troublesome - all be gone in 4 weeks anyway, whatever you do.
