Can you tell me if the blight has gone from impatients (busy lizzie ) plants now?

I don't think so as many gc are offering the resistant forms instead. I don't think they can be certain that the spores for this fungal infection have 'died' off in the soil.

I've seen bizzies for sale in supermarkets but personally won't risk it.

No, it hasn't, and it won't ever. Its a relatively new pathogen causing the problem, and its out in the environment, so won't be going away. The best you can hope for is some kind of effective anti fungal treatment - plants grown from seed by reputable nurseries will be treated at the seed stage and again before leaving to be sold, in both cases with products which are not available to the public. That treatment has no lasting effect, so once they're in your garden, they're open to attack.

It seemed to me it was water borne , came in the rain as those under the shelter in hanging baskets didn't get it
