The first one's a Physocarpus - looks like my 'Diablo'.
Google it and see if it matches yours :-)

Is the second one a Choisya? Maybe C. 'Aztec Pearl'?

Oh dear, sorry Titchy - you probably love these ID ones as much as I do! Don't always know them though, so frustrating to be pipped at the post, I'm sure, not to mention not being able to recall the name, even though you know it like the back of your hand, lol! I just check 'em to see what people have said, mostly, but sometimes, joy of joys, there's one you don't know...

I always admire you wise lot, you name the plants by botanical names just like that, you wouldn't believe I had a bit of Latin at school. You might not be able to recall the names straight away , but at least you know them in the back of your mind, not me, in it goes and out. Just ordered a - Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, can you imagine me remembering that one !!!

Fortunately, I've known a lot of them for years - not sure how retentive my poor old brain is for new info any more!

How do I say thanks?
