Hi everyone been sometime since on the sight due to illness. Back out in garden now and have to move some plants around as hubby is getting rabbits.

Have some young cotoneaster plants that have to be moved to a different part of garden. At the moment they are in an open area but they will have to be put in a slightly shaded bit near our cherry tree.

Would a young cotonaster survive the move I know that more mature ones don't but this was not planted by us it is a sucker from the main tree that has died last year.

Hi, I wouldn't have thought that moving a young Cotoneaster would be a problem, although it may depend on how much rootball you can get out with it, get as much as you can, and make sure that you keep it well watered until it gets established, if it has to be moved anyway, you have nothing to lose, Derek.
