Why my Salvia nemorosa aren;t flowering anymore
Asked on 9 Jul, 2008
I planted two quite well-established and already flowering Salvia Nemorosa about 3 weeks ago. They are in pots on my patio, planted in compost and watered regularly. However, the bright purple flowers seem to have disappeared and no sign of new buds so that have lost their 'vibrance'. Any ideas on why the flowers have stopped?

You have to dead-head regularly, snip each flower spike carefully back to where it started and then you will find that the side shoots will grow into flower spikes. Keep doing this as soon as each flower spike has lost all the purple. Mine flower until October usually. I am sure that yours will respond.
