I live by the sea. my front garden is very exposed to the elements. alpine plants grow really well but am desperate to find shrubs, bushes etc that will survive the harsh coastal winds and salt air. any suggestions please.

Hi Bonkersbon. thanks for your suggestions. will definitely try lavender. have a siberian privet hedge which stands proud regardless the weather. No fence but have a south facing wall which is protecting an empty border at the moment. suggestions for this border would be great.
