How can I stop my Bay Tree pproducing "babies!" at its base? It rather spoils the look of my nicely rounded tree!

I let mine grow a little and then dig them up to give to friends. You could pot them up and give to a charity fete to sell.

These arer probably shoots coming from the roots or base of the tree. Rub off any red buds now, as they are just forming. Or cut or pull off the shoots. This tree naturally tries to make a thicket, that's why it's so good for topiary.
