Last year, in january i took fifty cuttings of box the larger leaf type, at my little property in the limousin france i placed them in a shaded area of the garden, they went through some pretty cold temps and heavy snow, on my return last june i had forty seven healthy cuttings, lost just three, its great to experiment and break the rules, i think you should take some throughout the summer and keep out of the sun, be prepared for a long wait they are quite slow to get to a good size. julien
