why are there no flowers or leaves on my solanum

Oh dear - that sounds ominous. Is it still alive? Scratch off a small ares of bark from the main stem and see if the wood underneath is green - if so, then it has a chance. Also try snapping a few end-twigs to see if they are brittle or bendy. If still alive, I would suggest a hard prune and a feed of blood, fish and bone to boost it.
