Vegtable garden : growing potatoes on a on a ground which has been left fallow for a number of years has resulted in tubes which have been eaton by pests ,althouh unknown there are wireworm in the soil ,it has over the years had coal ash added to it ,the soil is on the chalky downs of the South Downs.
