In most grave yards the grass is cut by the council, if this is not the case where you daughter is buried then you probably need to buy a pair of garden shears and hand cut as I am not aware of anything that will mow such a small area, especially as it would need to be battery operated.

I have a small hand held rechargeable trimmer BOSCH 3 600 H33 001. Just tested it on the grass, cutter blade on surface and move slowly along......works a treat. I use it for trimming box, patio roses, shrubs with thin stems, as my achy hands don't like too much pruner or hand trimmer use. Got it at Homebase some time ago. Hope this is helpful.
