Hellborus orientalis hybrids are hard to put names to. They do come in lots of colours from pure white through yellow to pinks and purple to deep plum, almost black.

That was what I suspected Owd. I just wondered as many do have names. This is such a good plant . perhaps I should name it my self. :o)
Weather is looking good for Caerleon :o)) How's it at your end?

We have had a lot of rain and there are lakes in the fields, but no flooding. We will wait until the last minute before deciding about Caerleon. We are out on the Friday evening before too.
Have you looked at Ashwoods catalogue for a name for that Hellebore?

There is one called Ballard Blue which looks similar.

Think there's one called 'Blue Metallic Lady' too remember seeing it somewhere recently in a mag.
