Hahahaha Irish...tell me you're joking! I know it's an oxalis but we used to call these Shamrocks!! probably not horticulturally correct but .... it gave me pause to smile at a little irony.

Is the oxalis a shamrock then? where would you look for one in Ireland? Is the real shamrock a trefoil..like clover with three rounded leaves or the oxalis type. Now you've got me thinking, Irish...would you be able to scare up a real Irish shamrock for me??? Please. tis very happy you'd make me!!

Lori the proper name for shamrock is trifolium dubium, rarely produces seeds,an so is usually grown by root cuttings, but leave it with me , i managed to get a pkt of seeds last week, im sure i can find another lol

See www.fourleafclover.com for more facts/myths about shamrock. According to this, many believe that trifolium repens was the original shamrock. I have a four-leaf plant. Must find it in my pics and put it up. It is purple and green, not all green, and not every stem bears 4 leaves.

do you know david if you have a four leaved clover and it can be reproduced from seed that there is a company who would pay you a thousand euro lol

Does EVERY stem have to bear 4 leafs, Irish? Am sure that if there is such a plant, the 1000 euros will have gone by now. But...............with the exchange rate into £s in my favour right now........hmmmmmmmmm, LOL!
