Balls of Spiders
Balls of Spiders
Asked on 23 Jun, 2008
I have noticed what looks like 2 balls of moss on my sweet peas, they are in fact hundreds of pin-head sized spiders. What are they and will they harm my plants or will they keep them clear of other bugs and beasties? Nigel, MIDLOTHIAN

what you found is a spiders cache of eggs that have hatched...they will grow and disperse with the wind... nature is at work and isn't it nice when you can benefit and not have to lift a finger?
