What is this shrub? It is deciduous, will bloom twice in a year, is about 6 ft tall, and people tell me that it comes in a more common pink color.

Thanks. I didn't know anything about it. Now I have a starting place to find out how to take care of it.

it come in quite few vareties, one witha very dark leaf and one I was given a cutting which I believe is called 'josephs coat' the flowers come out cream and as they age go through pink to almost burgundy, all three colours are on the shrub at the same time. I like weigela, they are very hardy in my garden

It needs a prune after it's flowered for the first time, or it can get out of hand quite fast!
