Salix Integra

Asked on 22 Jun, 2008

I've been given a salix integra for my garden which I planted and fed about 2 weeks ago but it doesn't seem to be coming to life, all the leaves have died on it and I don't know whether to prune it right back or whether it's died?

Do the scratch test on the trunk. Just scrape a small piece of bark and look underneath. If the wood is green, your tree is still alive but if the wood is brown, I am afraid it's dead.
