identifying a plant
identifying a plant
Asked on 21 Jun, 2008
I have attached a photo of a plant that grows each year in a small flower bed in my garden in Kent. It first grows long light green leaves with small white lines and then these enourmous purple leaves appear with a long purple 'stem' in the centre of the purple leaves. Can you please identify it for me. Thank you for your help.

It is an aroid. The purple leaves and the central stem are actually the flowers. Which Arisaema/Arum it actually is is more difficult.
