they are best on a north wall or shade i was told when i got mine,i have one in pot and one in ground and seem about the same, they do die off in winter though and should now be getting new shoots

Is it in the ground or in a pot, where is it planted - against a wall? And if so, if its in the ground, how close to the wall did you plant it?
