Ours did this last winter and came through eventually and flowered. The same has happened this year but I am not quite so confident about its chances second time around.
Leave it alone until the summer and see if it starts greening up.

Oh Anndavid I feel for you - I 'hope' ours has survived but fear it hasn't/

all u can do is wait and see..i have seen them come back in the summer..fingers crossed.
