Aoenium - out of control!

I have a beautiful aeonium. Only problem is the stem is about 2 foot with the foliage on the top. I am worried that it is going to topple over. Help please !!!

Has it got side-shoots? If so, you can remove them, pot them up in gritty compost and lose the leggy mother plant.
