Gardening Questions rose or sucker!!
rose or sucker!!

can you tell me, does a rose tree have five leaves on each shoot and a sucker has 7 leaves, or is this something ive dreamt off, am trying to master the art of gardening and love it. thanks karen

No you haven't been dreaming! Rose suckers do indeed have 7 leaves and should be carefully removed. Good luck with the gardening!

suckers will mostly grow from under the bush with loads of prickles on. The rose leaves have more on the sucker than on the bush so top marks gardener......
