Hi GoYers have just been reading answers to "turning compost" on GQ,am just about to start but don`t really know weather to turn or not,as some Goyers have different opinons on it do you think i should just go ahead and do what i think might be alright, first time doing this so am bit nervous about it Thanks GoYers....

If you turn it you activate more nutrients, it is well rotted and readily available. If you don't turn it, it still makes good humus but takes longer. It is up to you how much time you want to spend on it.

We don't turn ours and it is always fine.

I turn mine regularly and give it a "good going over" perhaps once a month. This makes sure any grass cuttings get well mixed in, otherwise they can sit as a soggy mass. Sorry to confuse you Mobee but I think there is as many answers to this as there are people who garden!

like your new picture MG.
I turn mine only if there is lots of grass clippings in it.

Thx. SBG our compost is in bins so we never turn. We do have tumbler composter inherited from a neighbour... not sure it does very much!
