Rose bushes

Asked on 13 Jun, 2008

My new rose bushes have some lovely blooms but the stems are so thin the blooms are too heavy for them. Can I give them something to help or is it a case of waiting for them to mature?

Do you know the names of the roses?

Roses do well with a little bone meal spread around the base, but not touching the plant.Having said that, thisquite often happens with young plants. If you prune it back lightly at the end of the summer and then prune it back strongly next sprin (March time) you wont get this happening next year. I hope this helps.
