I have inherited a pear tree in a recently aquired garden in southern Lincolnshire. It has a trunk of about 12cm in diameter and is about 2.5m high, it was overgrown with a clemetis, now removed, and no sign of flowers or fruit last year. How should I try and encourage fruiting and should I prune it?
