What plant is this? Daughter allergic! wild hollyhock or lavatera?

My daughter was brushed lightly by a leaf from this plant and came up in quite a nasty reaction. Can anyone tell me what it is?

Looks like mallow - Lavetera

It looks like a Lavatera - is it a small shrub? One of that family, anyway. I am surprised that she had a reaction! Never heard of that before.
