i have heard of the chelsea chop, to cut back perenials so they flower later. does anyone know if i could do this to eupatorium purpureum to stop it growing so tall?

I've not heard of anyone doing it to a eupatorium but I can think of no reason for not trying it. Perhaps you could give half the stems the Chelsea chop this year as an experiment and let us know if it works
