We have well established Photinia on our property that is probably 15 feet tall. How much we can take off the tops without damaging the plant? We'd like to bring down more like a 10 foot hedge.

They respond very well to even heavy pruning so no problem at all. Wait until the end of March though.

I'd be tempted to take about 3ft off. If there is lots of foliage lower down then I might even do the full 5 ft. They are pretty tough plants.
