acer

I planted an acer in a pot 6 weeks ago and used multi purpose compost, I now know this compost is not right for it, is there anything I can do now without harming the plant as its just started getting leaves and looks fragile

Any lime in the compost will soon wash out as you water it. You could feed with an ericaceous feed say MiracleAcid or such like to counter the alkalinity of the original compost.
