feral hebe?
feral hebe?
Asked on 9 Jun, 2008
I planted a varigated hebe (don't know which variety) in poor soil. It lived, but half of the bush has reverted to dark green leaves. Both halves of the bush thrive and flower, but it is the talking point of the street.
Has anyone else come across this?

Variegated shrubs can and do revert , it's a case of watching out for all-green shoots and cutting them out to their base if you want to keep the variegated plant. Too late now for this Hebe, though!
