how to kill beech hedge stumps

had large beech hedge cut down, but cant did 40yr old stumps out.i want to put a fence up , but need to kill roots

Hello,
there is a solution you can cut the stumps very short and use << destructeur de souche >> in english stumps' destructive you can find it in gardening shop

You could get a stump-grinder, either hire it or hire someone to do it for you. You can't just kill the roots, they would still be there - only dead! Bonsoir, Aleaxandre, by the way.
