Echinops root care for new growth
Echinops root care for new growth

This question is on Echinops ritro
I bought 6 Echinops and planted them in the soil, where they promptly took off growing. However, recently it seems as if their growth has slowed down. It's been very very hot here, up to 100 for the past week and a half with only one bout of rain, where it poured for like 30 min and rained lighter for about 1.5 hrs before and after that. So I don't know if they got TOO much water, or if it's too hot and they aren't getting enough water. Any suggestions? Oh, I also planted them where they get full sun from about 11 am to 2 or 3?

THink they are drough tolerant, but if they are newly planted they might like a regular drink until they are established. I also planted Echinops this year and yours look healthier than mine!!!! tho starting to pick up now :-)
