Malvern Spring Show, does anyone know if it's possible to get there by public transport and has anyone actually done this? Wouldn't it be nice if there was a Goy day there. Grindle is going on the Friday:-)

I can get a coach locally on the Saturday, but I suppose it will be crowded then?? I've never been to this only to the Three Counties Show by car:-)

~we are going by car and will be staying 6th and 7th overnight, going on the Friday to the show! I don't think it would be easy by public transport but probably possible ~go to the traveline website and put in where you want to go~ it should work out the journey?

Will do Arlene thanks. My daughter insists we would not look odd if we took shopping trolleys to put plants etc in which I will be tempted to buy. I think she's mad:-) We could all meet at Vicky's exhibit and run off with her heucheras lol:-)

I'd love to go but cant afford the time off sadly :o(

:-( SBG, couldn't you explain how important it is;-)) I've just found out there is a free shuttle service from Malvern station to showground so if anyone sees a strange woman with a jack russell on her head (for identification) pulling a trolley full of plants it will probably be me:-)

~ we have those plastic boxes on wheels which go everywhere and can hold quite a lot!

5 Feb, 2010

They're great if you are in a car but I think fellow travellors might object on the train lol. I just hope I can get everything home in one piece:-)

~We took some very large plants through London from Columbia Road to Euston on the Tube one Sunday morning and caused quite a lot of humour!~people were great~admittedly not weekday rush hour.....!

5 Feb, 2010

I might come for a run out , when you get to Vicky's exhibit look around for a real hansom man, and ask him if he has seen me,

Louise and I are hoping to go - don't know which day yet, though. It depends on our chauffeur!

~I think Saturday is always the busiest so avoid if you don't want a crush~

5 Feb, 2010

Not my decision, Arlene!

Lol Cliffo:-) Arlene, many years ago at a large show, I bought 2 heavy concrete type pots. I had gone with a friend and we had made the usual mistake of not remembering where the car was parked. I cursed those stupid heavy pots as we roamed up and down row after row of cars which seemed to stretch to eternity. Never again.....unless I see something amazing lol:-) Spritz, don't forget you have to wear a lab on your head by way of identification:-)

~was thinking more like a big round badge with GOY on it by way of id?~possible sunflower!~
~sympathies on that one BA~I know what it is like to have your arms feeling as though they are going to drop off~don't they have those guys with big barrows to take stuff to your car or bus stop at Malvern?~ I know they do at Hampton Court~Cliffo ~hope you can make it!

6 Feb, 2010

Oh wow, men with barrows, I've never been to Hampton Court either but hope to get there this year. I'm one of those strange people who have never driven I'm sure there are coaches there :-)

6 Feb, 2010

~I bet there are coach trips including acommodation, get checking!~Hampton Court has a fantastic craft pavilion where you can buy great clothes, jewellery,
prints and paintings,food,etc.....as well as plants and every possible thing to do with gardening!...... and of course there is the sell off on the last day.... better than Chelsea in my opinion as you can buy plants from the growers whereas you can only buy plants on the last sell off day at Chelsea~

6 Feb, 2010

I hadn't thought of that, I thought they all came with loads of spares to sell like at the NEC garden show (which again I haven't been to for years but used to love) What good is a show if you can't buy more than you intended or can really afford?;-)

6 Feb, 2010

~ the RHS say they don't have the room for all the show gardens and plant sellers. The sheer crush of people trying to get to see the show gardens means that I prefer to watch on tv~ the year we went I did really enjoy it but I prefer Malvern,Cardiff and Hampton court~

6 Feb, 2010

Mmmmmm Cardiff when's that?

6 Feb, 2010

~ 16th 17th and 18th April~ we will be there as only 50 miles away but not booked yet so not sure what day although probably Friday!

6 Feb, 2010

I'm a bit worried by you lot with dogs on your heads - I haven't got one but I do have a cockatiel named Spike - would he do? I think he would make quite a good fascinater thingy. Lol!!

6 Feb, 2010

have you not wonderd why ladies can never rember were they left the car, and men don't seam to have that problem, we take a couple of back bearings as we leave the car, and things that we will reconise on our return. the times my wife has phoned me to go out and find the car for her, and men are only surposed to be able to do one thing at a time lol.

6 Feb, 2010

Cammomile, at the moment you must wear a tree I'm afraid, Cliffo's a sunset and Arlene must wear a boxer. Otherwise there would be no way of knowing who was who now would there? You could of course have Spike as your avatar?? or whatever it's called as 'guests' may come and we would mistake you for one of them, and a cockatiel fascinator sounds much prettier than a jack russell anyway:-))

6 Feb, 2010

Cliffo, we just have sooooo much important stuff going on in our heads:-)

6 Feb, 2010

I'll just smile a lot - and I'll be the one staggering along with the most plants! LOL.

6 Feb, 2010

Well.. if it's a competition Spritz......:-)

6 Feb, 2010

cliffo we are too busy making sure the men folk dont lose their wallets/phones/ keys etc. Why do you think we have hand bags? And I'll have you know I have never lost my car [ sanity yes car no :o)]

6 Feb, 2010

Ba - you're on! LOL.

6 Feb, 2010

well ladies.as usual you have had the last word, but being a man ,I am well trained in when to shut up ,and bough to the truth that it is not in fact a mans world, lol

7 Feb, 2010

I had to add something Cliffo or else you would have had the last word:-)

7 Feb, 2010
