I moved two plum , two apple and two pear trees which were 3 years old. I moved them the last week in November when they had shed all their leaves, but I think it is too cold at the moment to move anything. Like you I am situated in the Midlands. Hopefully the weather will improve and you can still do the move uptill early march. Good luck.
