mum has found dark green blobs of goo in the grass. No trees around. I have found it in my garden. What can it be and how can we get rid of it.

is your lawn very damp? if so try spreading some lawn sand thinly on the patches and see if that helps. Also spiking it with a fork helps to airate the soil. Lindak.
