can these kaffir be planted as dry bulbs?

if planted in the garden,a damp but welldrained shady location even in a dark corner, but frost free, just put them in, if an indoor plant a well lit location, keep compost damp,do not pot on ,they prefer to be pot bound, they are poisonous every part if injested will cause tummy upset, the name kaffir is very offensive to some people, but they do have other names sutch as ,bush lily/ st johns lily /and fire lily, hope this helps.

I find that they don't flower well. if at all, in shady locations, Cliffo. They are best in full sun. If you're concerned, pot them up and then plant them out in spring. They should have leaves at the moment, so I hope that you haven't bought dried out, dead bulbs!
