The only thing you can do, Yinqzi, is to take it back and complain.

Yingzi, a GOY friend has directed me to a question from earlier this year, in fact it is the first one just to the right of these answeres. This member had a 'dead' Bat Plant but when she got round to emptying the pot found that the bulb was still alive and starting to grow.
With that information I would suggest thast you either do as I first suggested or leave it until next summer and hope that it wakes up.
