mildew on plants
Asked on 3 Sep, 2007
Hi I have some ajuga reptans (think thats correct) its a dark foliage with blue flowers and is a ground cover plant. I have noticed that the leaves appear to have mildew on them- any ideas how I can tackle this problem?

Ignore it, but suggest you cut it back hard first.

3 choices, 1 ignore it and in winter it will disappear, 2. Spray the plant with a systemic fungicide. 3 Spray the plant with a solution of 1 part full cream milk to 9 parts water (organic fungicide).
Bad year for most fungus problems this one, cool and damp followed by cool and dry whci is what mildew just loves!
