Photo is from Park Seed, but other catalogs carry this common plant. What are ideal growing conditions for fast blooms?

Mirabilis jalapa, four o'clocks, can be started indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost...but they will also grow and flower very quickly from seed planted directly. they will grow in full sun or partshade. they like well drained sandy soil and will tolerate dryness. grows 18 to 36 inches tall, shrubby, selfseeder...they will also tolerate pollution and heat. they blossom in late afternoon and the flowers remain open all night...they have a wonderful sweet scent. Not a difficult plant to grow.
