This is from a very large and wide bush, but I have no idea what it is. Any ideas? Thank you.

You need to prune it back after it has finished flowering, do this carefully to preserve its shape while reducing the size. You don't have to cut off every branch that has flowered. Start by cutting out any dead wood, then look for the oldest branches and cut them back to strong shoots - about a third off each branch. Then finish by shaping the others.. Stand back after each 'chop' to ensure you are happy with it. Hope this helps.
