Does anyone know if there exists a dwarf variety of Callicarpa. I can't find one but it may be because I'm not looking in the right places on my pc.

Will an ordinary Callicarpa take to being pruned a lot, because if I can't get a dwarf one I'd like an ordinary one. The thing is I don't have room for it to grow to it's full size. So would I be able to prune it.

I tried taking cuttings when I moved but they all died and I would like another one.

I may have got it wrong Hywel but I'm sure Andrewr was talking about one recently. Had a quick look but can't find the thread, maybe you can :o))

I keep mine pruned. It responds well (ie throws out great long shoots!!) but I've seen one in a garden that is kept to 4 or 5 feet by 'hedging' it.

The recent reference was on Janey's photo page.

Lily is referring to my callicarpa dichotoma in the blog "A Knock At The Door"
