My Physalis Alkekengi lost all it's leaves and still has the lanterns did I hurt the plant somehow?? Did I water to much?..will the leaves grow back.

Rambling...s right, they're perennial and more or less disappear during the winter time

Hi, I have a lot of physalis in the garden at this time of year, they all loose their leaves leaving just the lanterns which often stay on the plant well into Dec. The leaves should come up again next year.
