Can anyone tell me what this shrub / tree is? It's growing in a very awkward place and I'd like to move it. Thanks!

It looks like Prunus lusitanica 'Angustifolia'. This is an evergreen that is often used for hedging. As you are in Oregon I expect that you get snowy cold winters? If so, leave moving it until springtime. You might have trouble getting it out of the ground as it is quite near to the house. Or you could try taking some softwood cuttings next summer and grow a new one, or they are quite readily available to buy.

I agree with Volunteer; it does look more like a Prunus :)

It is as Volunteer says :-)

I think Volunteer is correct, I have a Laurus Nobilis Bay and it is different than this. And yes, I think I will wait until the spring to move it. Thanks everyone!

That looks like a bushy Laurus Nobilis Bay to me...
