When to prune buddleia?

The best time to prune is about now just take about a third off. then give a hard prune in the spring.

I reduce mine up to a half nov time to prevent wind rock then down again by half in march april depending on the weather. I always take a cutting just in case the mother plant dies.

I give mine a light trim to tidy them up now but then give them a more severe pruning in spring when the frosts have gone.

I prune very hard almost as soon as the flowers are finished. I find this has worked over the years and always seem to get strong growth the following Spring.
