are these ready to go outside?

West Midlands, United Kingdom Gb

These are my bargain pansies from Jersey, they are supposed to be ready to plant out, but I'm worried they're too small and will vanish inside a slug or snail. I haven't used winter flowering pansies before and haven't really used bedding much. As you can see, I've moved some to a roomy tray and left the rest in the original, they're on my kitchen window ledge. PS Don't look out the window, it's a jungle out there! :-)

They do look a bit small, I have to say! I think I might grow them on a bit, if they were mine, before planting them out. Have they got any flower buds appearing yet?

I agree, grow them on a bit more before placing outside, i'd have the same slug worry as you Bornagain.

No Spritz none at all, is that when you put them out? If I put some in a container, could I put some tulips underneath and would they best be kept indoors for a while if so? I do have a fairly light garage.:-)

I found out was what eating mine - SNAILS!!! Not birds at all. Sorry, birds!
I just wondered how far along they are, Born, and buds would be a sign... :-))

I have placed mine in hanging baskets half cone shape and hung them on a hook on the fence, if this idea is any good for you when their ready to be put out. Lol about don't look out the window, you will get there in the end

Sorry - yes, of course plant tulips underneath! That would be good. :-))

It'll give the pansies time to grow on, by tulip-planting time! Keep them cool but light...

I'm interested in the view through the window, Bornagain - gives a whole new meaning to the term "its a jungle out there"! An absolute haven for wildlife I'd imagine (and no, I'm not being sarcastic).

Thanks bamboo, just looking out my machete! I've got a nice man coming on tuesday to give me a hand with it and from now on I'm going to be ruthless. More or less just outside the window is the pond, it's no longer visible but yes, the frogs love it :-)
