when/how did you plant your "angel's fishing rod" seeds?

United Kingdom Gb

I harvested seeds in early October from a plant I bought in the summer.

You can sow them right now, while they are still fresh. If you prefer to wait till spring, then I find they are best stored in the fridge - otherwise they dry out. You can just sow them direct in the soil where you want them to grow if you like. Bare in mind they don't like being grown in a pot, as they like their roots to go down deep.

You could hedge your bets by sowing a few in a pot now and saving some for spring. Keep the sown seeds in greenhouse or windowsill.
